Montagebrüder at Fmovies. The director documents the working and living conditions of assembly workers on the "Nordlicht" natural gas pipeline. Like the "Drushba pipeline," this pipeline was one of the major projects of the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance (CMEA), and many workers, especially young East German workers, were involved in its completion. Good pay and the hope of a less regimented life were the main attractions.
